From Leonardo to ITER, Nonlinear and Coherence Aspects
The workshop focused on areas of special interest to Hans Wilhelmsson. The first two presentations discussed nonlinear wave interactions and Quantum mechanics. Later presentations combined these areas and entered different aspects of Nonlinear systems and Nuclear Fusion. Hans Wilhelmsson’s own presentation discussed Cosmology, Nonlinear systems and General Relativity. Here Hubble’s law was included in the nonlinear description and a simple interpretation of general relativity was given. Other presentations discussed Turbulence in different systems (predator-prey encounters) and more practical aspects of the conditions for Nuclear fusion such as the use of Advanced fuels. More detailed fusion theory included symmetry breaking effects in momentum transport and the applicability of fluid closures to turbulence in fusion machines including coherence aspects.
