Young adults with migratory backgrounds require particularly intensive support on the way into training and profession. In order to be able to deal with this target group educational social workers and professional facilitators need specific skills, which have hardly been communicated in the training and professional development sessions of educational staff.
This handbook is aimed at providers of qualification measures within education and includes a second-chance qualification concept, which was developed together with educational social workers of several schools. The aim of this concept is to strengthen the competences of educational staff for the transition facilitation of young adults with migratory backgrounds and thus to improve the measures for the labour market integration of severely challenged young adults. The concept is modular and can therefore be adjusted to the specific requirements of individual participants.
